About Jake Smith
I have been developing in PHP since 2002, and developing websites since 1997.  I became interested in PHP when I was working on my high school football web site.  I thought to myself there has to be a better way to update the news, stats and photos…..and ever since that day I have been in love with PHP.  I went to Midwestern State University, where I played football for 4 years as a defensive tackle.  After college I joined up with TM Advertising, where I was groomed to be a frontend nazi.  If something is off by 1 pixel or there isn’t enough padding I will find it now.  I currently work as the Sr. Web Developer for Get Legal.com and I work with a great group of people.

My goal with my site is to help others along the path of web development, and also share my thoughts on situations I experience on a daily basis.  Be prepared for articles relating to web development, (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, Browser Compatibility, AJAX, XML, etc.  I love comments and emails from everyone.  If you wish to inform me on a better/more effecient/different way of doing something then I am more than happy to listen.  Also, be sure to check out my portfolio to view projects I have been working on!
